- COMPOSITION OF LAWN MOWER CLUTCH:PTO clutch are primarily made up of three major sub-assemblies: Pulley / armature assembly, Field/rotor assembly and Brake assembly.These three subassemblies are very important for the composition of the mower clutch.
- ADVANTAGE: When the power is cut, the armature is released and pulled back against the brake shroud via the leaf springs.This unit also has the advantage of being able to be adjusted as it wears. This can be a considerable cost advantage to the end user over the life of the clutch/brake.As the armature drags against the brake shroud,the blade is helped to slow to meet the manufacturers stop time requirements.
- USED FOR : In almost all lawn and garden applications, the goal of the PTO clutch/brake is to begin the rotation of the cutting blades and assist in stopping. A PTO clutch may be required depending on the size of the machine and internal friction. We offer PTO clutches and/or brakes for the following applications: consumer riding tractors, zero-turn machinery, commercial walk behind lawn mowers, front lawn mowers.
